Question #5: Describe your wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, etc.
This is a fun one. I remember trying on a lot of dresses & I ended up choosing the first one I tried on. It was from a designer in Italy. It was not bright white, but not off white either. Kind of a creamish color. I thought the creamish color looked better with my skin tone. It was a round neck. It had very beautiful, but very subtle beading down the front. It definitely was not a fru fru dress. After I bought it, I remember getting in the mail a letter from the designer. You could tell he couldn't speak English, but was trying. He called me Ms. Iberson. My Mom & I just laughed at that. I thought that was really nice of him to think to send a letter. I remember the only thing I didn't totally love on the big day was my hair. It was a little to curly & big. I wanted it a little bit sleeker & smooth. I wore a really pretty tiara I borrowed from my sis in law. I wore my Mom's jewelry. And a blue lace garter. My favorite thing to remember about my dress, was when Riley told me on our wedding day, he loved looking at me from behind. He said my waist looked so small. Man! I sure wish I had that today. Maybe one day!
I think I had six bridesmaids. They didn't all stand in the line with us, but they did wear the dresses. They each wore a skirt & shirt. They were a light purple, lavenderish. The tops were sparkly, & the skirts were satiny smooth. I thought they all looked beautiful. I think I gave them all a bracelet to wear too.
Riley wore a black suit with a grayish/silver vest. He also wore a silver tie. He didn't want a bow tie for some reason. He looked really sharp!! All the groomsmen wore black tuxes with the same vests.
I cannot believe it has been 8 1/2 years. Time flies by when your having fun!
