Oh What Fun!

This past weekend, we went to Idaho to spend time with the whole Sayre clan. We had so much fun. We saw most of Riley's cousins, aunts, uncles, Bestamama & Bestapapa (Grandma & Grandpa). Sorry no pics, I forgot my camera. We haven't seen them for a very long time. We got in on Friday. On Friday night Curt had rented a bus so we all could go look at Christmas lights together. That was great. Some of those houses were great. One of the houses even had a electronic train go all around there front yard. It must have been very time consuming!! When we got back, someone made a special appearance. SANTA!! And Kobe actually sat on his lap. Can you believe it? Then we had all sorts of competitions. One of them was a handstand contest. Of course my man won. No one can beat him! If you have never seen Riley on his hands, it's amazing. He can even go up & down stairs (I know who does that??) On Saturday we hung out & played games all day. I learned how to play the card game Golf. That was fun. Aunt Trudy brought these way hard puzzles to see if anyone could put them together. Everyone tried & tried. They were so hard. But I was the only one to solve one of them. I couldn't believe it. Saturday night we had a big ham dinner (thanks LeAnne). Very delicious!! Afterwards they have a gift exchange. You draw a number & get to pick from the pile. Riley got a loot full of beef jerkey. Tons of it! I got the funniest looking tile thats so old. We just laughed. My sister in laws said I should put it back in next year. I think I will!! Kobe got a batman toy & some Transformers Bubblebath. We had the best time. Coming home Sunday was stressful. The snow was pretty bad. It took us about 7 hours. I'm so happy to be home! Thanks to all the Sayres'. We love you guys so much & can't wait to see you again!!

Twilight Movie

Oh my gosh! I love this movie. I just went for the 2nd time today with Mindy. And I loved it just as much as the 1st time I saw it. I was a little scared I would be disappointed, but I wasn't at all. I have always been a Jacob fan ( & still am), but now I love Edward too! He is such a hunk!!! His hair is like the best ever! I told Riley that we have to buy a poster & hang it on our ceiling! JK! (No but I really did!) The movie is like two hours & it goes by sooo fast. When it got over I was so sad because I just wanted it to keep going on & on. I cannot wait for the next one. Most of the characters were right on too. There were a couple that were a little off, but it still all worked. So if any of you have not seen it yet! Go now! Call me & I'll go with you! Again!

Tagg Time

I have been tagged by Jaci. Here are the rules: You need to type 7 things about yourself that you don't think anyone knows and then choose 7 people to tag at the end.

1. I'm kinda obsessive compulsive. I have to do certain things before I do other things. And I have a lot of weird habits that I can't get over. It drives me crazy sometimes!

2. I love doing crossword puzzles and sudoku. I could do them for hours.

3. I'm way into entertainment news. I know everything about it, & I can't get enough. Sometimes I wish I was an entertainment reporter. I know... so dorky!

4. I love going to the gym. When I leave I am so extremely happy. And I love the way I feel about myself when I'm working up a sweat!

5. I can't watch scary movies. They leave me terrified out of my mind. I can't even sleep after I watch them. I always think they are coming for me!

6. I love doing laundry. The smells. The sounds. The folding. All of it!

7. My favorite food is rice. Any kind. I could eat it for every meal.

Halloween Party

Last Saturday was the annual party at the den (aka Stacy & Billy's basement). We had a great time. Everyone looked so creative. Riley's costume was hilarious! He was Mr. Michael Phelps. Speedo and all. He even won best costume and walked away with quite the loot. There was also a pool competition which was a lot of fun. Riley & I ended up playing each other in the championship game. I am not good, I just got lucky! The "planners" did an awesome job as usual. Billy, Stacy, Lisa, Erica, and Cassie were Hugh Hefner & his playmates. Angela & Lyman were the Incredibles. Brittney was a beauty queen, and I was a baby. I can't wait til next year!

Go Kobe

We are so proud of our little man! Last week Riley and Kobe decided to take the training wheels off and Kobe is having so much fun learning how to ride. Let's just hope he is a better bike rider than me. We all know how good I am! He hasn't mastered it yet, but he will soon. He is always up for a new adventure. Right now he is way into his bike and skateboarding. He told me that he is going to be the next Tony Hawk. Skateboards kinda scare me, but he does pretty well with it. I just don't want another broken arm! Go Kobe!

Conference

I thought conference was so special. I loved all the messages. It seems everything they talked about is what we all should be thinking about on a daily basis. I know I was reminded of simple stuff that I just take for granted everyday. It is so easy to get caught up in the cleaning, the cooking, school, and so on. It's good to get a little reminder to just sit back and relax and enjoy the now. I also loved the music. I thought it all was terrific, but I especially loved listening to the children. They just brought the spirit so strong. I am so grateful that I belong to this wonderful church and I can raise my son up with this beautiful gospel.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my sister Mindy. Today is her birthday. I hope she has a wonderful day because she deserves it. She is such a great person and totally loved.

Today we found what we have been looking for. Kobe is sooo excited. We found a Robin costume (he is from the teen titans). We didn't know if we could find it, but we did. He has been wearing it ever since. He looks so cute in it.

Another thing about Kobe is he always says the funniest off the wall things. He always has us laughing. He has a bath every night before he goes to bed, but last night he really wanted to have a shower. So I let him. During the shower I was standing outside the curtain and he said "Mom, this shower feels wicked good, I'm never gonna forget this!" Oh how I love that boy!

WE DID IT!!!

Well we finally decided to get with the times and enter the blogging world. For me this is very scary because I have no idea what I'm doing. I just decided that I would learn as I go (along with the help of my great sister) and just jump right in. I'm really excited to write about everything that happens in our lives. We will be adding some pics as soon as I can figure out how to do it! I gotta go Riley and Kobe are waiting for me to go with friends to do ultimate frisbee. Very fun!
