Question #4

Question #4: Where were you & what were you doing on September 11, 2001?

This is a day I definitely know I will never forget. What a sad thing to have happened. Nothing can describe the helplessness I or anyone else felt. I wanted to help, but there was really nothing to do but watch the tv & pray for everyone. I was 21 years old. I was a newlywed. When the first plane struck, I was at my apartment getting ready to leave for work. I worked at RC Willey. When the first plane struck, I remember everyone thought that it had been just a freak accident. No one could believe it. When I got to work, we turned on the tv in the will call office & watched the news. While we were watching the news, the 2nd plane hit. We were speechless. The whole country then knew we were under attack. I remember how sick my stomache felt. RC Willey then closed & we were all sent home. Riley & I went to my Mom's & watched tv all day. Panic was everywhere. It was the scariest feeling. I hope it's a feeling, we Americans, will never feel again. The one thing that came out of this horrific experience that felt any good was the patriotism of everyone. We all felt it. Everyone was unified. I remember seeing American flags everywhere & that was such a beautiful sight. I am so thankful for all those brave people who risked their lives. What heroes. I am forever grateful.
"America has continued to rise through every age against every challenge, a people of great works & greater possiblilities, who have always, always found the wisdom & strength to come together as one nation, to widen the circle of opportunity, to deepen the meaning of freedom to form that more perfect union."
-Bill Clinton

Horrible day.
I love this idea of answering questions everyday. I hope you keep it up.
