Spring Hurry Up

I don't know about anyone else, but I can't take it anymore!! I am so ready for the sun to be out, my flipflops on, & my lawn chairs out (I know I sound so white trash right now). I feel like I'm going to explode from being so anxious for Spring. We had so much fun last week with the nice weather. We went to the park everyday & flew the kite. Kobe played in the sand. It was great! We are hoping this new batch of winter won't stay very long.

Last weekend Curt & LeAnne (Riley's parents) came to visit. It was a really short visit, but it was really fun. Kobe had a blast. On Friday night Riley & Curt went golfing in West Bountiful. Me, Kobe, & LeAnne decided to go & just ride along. Kobe even hit some balls. He is a natural! While we were there the funniest thing happened. Riley & I were following behind LeAnne & Kobe in the golf carts. LeAnne made a sharp turn, Kobe fell out & just rolled & rolled. LeAnne had no idea he even fell, & she just kept going. Riley & I were laughing soooo hard. Luckily Kobe was not hurt at all, just a little scared. Even he thought it was funny after a while. I guess, at least, he will never forget his first time golfing!! I just wish we had taped it.

Yesterday we went to the mall for lunch & the Easter Bunny was there. Me, my Mom, & Dad got Kobe to sit on his lap. For those of you that don't know Kobe, that is not an easy task. He doesn't like anything in a costume. So I had to post of picture of him. He really had fun & can't wait to do it again.

Happy Birthday Kobe! Wow! We can't believe it, Kobe is 6 today. He has grown up so fast. Kobe is the sweetest kid you'll ever meet. He is such a delight to be around. Riley & I absoulutely adore our little guy. He is our whole world! You will never meet a more imaginative or go go go little boy. Everyday he is a new superhero. He just wants to be friends with everyone & please everyone. This morning when he woke up, he jumped out of bed & said "I think I'm taller!" He is always making us laugh. I am so thankful he is my little guy. He is always teaching me new things. We love him so much.

Congrats

It finally happened! Riley is now an official full time employee with South Davis Fire Department. I am so extremely proud of him. He got the phone call on his birthday to meet with the Chief Monday morning. And this morning, they offered him the job. He has worked for South Davis Metro for six years now, & has been waiting for six years to be full time. It's about time!! He couldn't be more excited. Now he'll have to just find a part time job to do on his off days. Good luck & we love you so much!

Happy Birthday Riley! Today is my hubby's 30th birthday. So I thought it would write down 30 things about him that I love.

1) Everyday he makes me laugh.
2) Always hardworking in whatever he is doing.
3) His awesome dance moves!!
4) Sports! Sports! Sports! Especially football.
5) His laugh. It is so contagious.
6) Desire to always do what is right. Never wavering.
7) Never fails to surprise me. He loves to catch me off guard & buy me gifts for no reason.
8) Very kind to everyone. It is one of the reasons I fell in love with him.
9) Loves being a Dad.
10) He keeps me sane. I tend to freak out just a little bit over the small things & he always calms me down.
11) His gymnastics skills. I loved when he does his flips.
12) Firefighter. I love that he loves his job so much.
13) Never short of compliments. He always makes me feel better about myself.

15) Good cook. He likes to make dinner sometimes & he's better than me!

Yay! They're back.

Is anyone as excited as me? American Idol is back! It has always been one of my favorite shows. Last year was the best with David Archuleta. I was scared it was all going to be a let down after last year, but so far I'm really liking the new season. Kobe is loving watching the funny people with me. The talent seems to be really good, & they haven't even got to Salt Lake yet. Can't wait to see the locals. Make us proud!!
Every year I always say that I'm not going to get sucked into the Bachelor again. And what always happens? I'm hooked the first night. Right now I'm rooting for Melissa ( I think that's her name. The Dallas Cowboy cheerleader.) She was really cute with him. There were a lot of women that I can't wait til there gone. The drama queens ( if you watch then you know who I'm talking about!) & the one with all the plastic surgury. The plastic surgury girl is nice, but looks way too old! And I have a feeling he ends up with DeAnna. I hope not. Lets just hope for a happy ending! So those of you who watch (Jaci I'm talking about you) I can't wait til next week! Happy watching!!
